I just watched Girl Interrupted (yes, in the midst of all this paper-writing, stop judging, you know you do it too, AND you try to whine about it to me). Anyway, the movie. Well done. It made me sad. "What's wrong with you? You don't look crazy..." "I'm sad." "Well everyone's sad."
Why is that? No, really. What could possibly be that wrong that would make the world sad? That's a lame question. I guess I'm just confused. I mean, in contrast to everyone else in the world (suffering, starving, being oppressed) those whom I know and care about and interact with lead cushy lives, including myself. But they still feel sad.
Maybe it's not sad, just misunderstood. I mean, that was the premise of that movie.
